CNE Obtained Support From the UNEST

The National Commission for Elections (CNE) on Monday (22/08/2011), through its Plenary, met the 11 members of the United Nations Volunteers (UNVs) Team under the UNEST (United Nation Electoral Support Team) coming to introduce themselves in CNE’s Office at Kintál Boot.

In this meeting, the UNVs stated ready to support the National Commission for Elections (CNE) to deal with the coming 2012 General Elections.

During the meeting the UNVs promised to the CNE Commissioners that their team is ready to work together with CNE in the 13 districts, as stated by Andres Caltillo, Chief of UNEST.

The National Commission for Elections (CNE), through its Commissioners, also suggested the UNVs Team to do their jobs as good as possible in order to provide good education to the people of Timor-Leste within the systems of democracy; and, the more important is to work according to the motto of CNE (Stand on Impartiality, Independence and Transparency).
