CNE approved the Timeline of Data Base Updating
Data Base Updating (ADB), defined in the Article 65 No. 2, is regarding to elections that means electoral registration as a mandatory activity for the citizens who already completed 16 years old and have their rights to possess electoral cards in order to take part on the elections. read more

CNE and STAE enter an Agreement to update the voter Database
On 11 January, CNE and STAE signed a resolution on preliminary activities relating to updating the voter Database. In this meeting they jointly decided to issue resolution No.001/01/2011 to empower STAE as the Technical Secretariat to issue a new electoral card to respond to the urgent needs of voters. read more

On the 24th February 2011, Commissioners Faustino Cardoso Gomes, Alcino de Araujo Baris, Joana Maria Dulce Vitor, Teresinha Maria Cardoso Gomes, Manuela Leong Pereira, José Agostinho da Costa Belo, Father Martinho Germano da Silva Gusmão, and Arif Abdullah Sagran attended a public hearing on proposed amendments to Laws on the presidential election, parliamentarian election and electoral bodies, in the National Parliament (Committee A). read more
