President of CNE observed the Federal System in the USA
The main objective of the President of the CNE’s visit to the United States of America was to observe the US federal system. As these elections are carried out in succession and will finish on 2 November, Mr. Faustino Cardoso was given an opportunity to analyse the local governments’ programmes, the relationship between the Federal States and the State as well as the State’s role in the elections. read more

Australia 2007
Australia conducted its first parliamentary elections in 1901. However, each of the 6 states existed at that time conducted its own elections. They held uniformed elections just in 1903 in accordance with the Commonwealth Franchise Act 1902 and Commonwealth Electoral Act 19022. read more
